My TTC Site

Welcome to the My TTC Site Blog page

I will be posting my comments related to what is taking place for TTC here from time to time.

These are my view and opinion and you don't have to agree with then nor do you have to read them.

I will be creating various subject heading on different pages over time.

My posting will be based on the amount of time I have as well the subject.

I have debated for sometime if I will use a discussion board or not, to listing the various topics as well allowing people to post their comments. I still am looking at a discussion board and not use Word Press. As for allow people to post, that is still up in the air at this point.

I don't have all the answers, but I am open to views that will show me there is a better way if there is a better way that will change my view.

I am not stopping anyone from sending me their comments on my posting. Depending on my time and on the comments, I may post your comments as well a reply to my posting.

I play no games nor politic in my comments and will blunt on my views.

I use a double edge sword as transit riders and the public can be the cause of various issues that can have an impact on TTC or transit as a whole.

If employees of transit are looking at me to be on their side and support them, I can tell them it a two way street and a lot of barriers when it comes to unions.

As someone who has ran both Union and non Union company's, you will not get much support from me on union issues.

I am a firm believer that each person is worth different wages based on their performance and lumping good workers in to a bad pool of poor workers getting the same hour rate create resentment and lower the work performance.

It your choice to visit and read this Blog.

2010
January 1st:
It has been said by TTC that I am the person who cause this media flack the week before the St Clair ROW went into service on Dec 20th, 2009 putting TTC on damage control and that not true.

It has been stated that it was my photograph that was in the National Post and if so, they didn't get the photo from me nor had my permission to publish it.

As I said to TTC, I will take the heat for this up roar as the quality of track work between Oakwood Ave and Westmount was design by a drunk sailor and another example where the traffic Engineering department is trying to kill these ROW.

It has also been stated by TTC and others that I was being anti ROW and Transit City which is not true as I have supported these things from Day One. I do not support the sloppiness of design work, the lack of co-operation, sloppiness of track laying when section were almost 12 inches off set. Even the spacing and the size of the centre poles is another is another dog bark as it can be done a lot better than what out there now.

I have follow this project from day one and have 90 pages of photo's (1,800 photo's) and video's for the original Phase II completed in November for 2009 alone showing all kinds of construction issues. My background is in construction starting with producing engineering drawings, been project manager and co-owner of a couple of companies to backup my claims and comments.

If TTC and the city don't learn from their mistakes from St Clair so far and try to do the same thing on Sheppard Ave W, then Metrolinx needs to step in and tell both parties were to go so the correct design and building of Transit City is done correctly and on time.

The City was designing things as this project went along and forced the contractor to change his construction process in mid stream that cause delays. The same thing is happen over at the last section of Phase IV at Keele St or from Old Weston Rd to Gunns Loop.
